Database Components

  • Transactional Database: The database that stores the OLTP data, such as the database you install Oracle E-Business Suite applications.
  • Oracle BI Application Data Warehouse: The database that stores the dimensional schema for analytics and reporting.
  • Pre-packaged ETL in Informatica Repository: The metadata Oracle shipped to customers. It includes the transformation, mapping, and loading metadata. They provide the adapters for Siebel CRM, Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft applications.
  • DAC Repository: Includes the metadata about the source and target databases, the Informatica servers, the ETL execution plan, etc.
